If you’re like me (and basically the rest of the world), you love your phone. Mostly because of the phone apps.
Am I right?
I know I’m on mine constantly. To the point that it’s sometimes kind of a problem. Like in India whenever I didn’t have a WiFi signal and started to feel twitchy because how could everyone know about the cool stuff I was doing if I didn’t Instagram it RIGHT NOW??
Of course, I survived just fine with my spotty internet service. No big deal. And if I suddenly didn’t have a cell phone to use at all, I would NOT, in fact, DIE.
But that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the heck out of my phone when I’ve got it, right?
I know you’ve heard of Urban Dictionary. You have to have heard of it. And probably used it once or twice. Well, having the app on my phone has been endlessly helpful. And informative. Sometimes a little frightening. But it has definitely helped spare me from more than one embarrassing moment. And working around college kids? It helps me decode what the heck they’re talking about.

As someone who is constantly talking about movies and TV and actors and directors and blah blah blah, this is so great. It’s user friendly and makes it super easy to search for people, projects, etc. Honestly, after Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, this is probably the app I use the most every day.
This is a super fun game I like to play whenever I have to kill some time waiting in line somewhere or waiting for a movie to start or just whenever. There are tons of different movies to choose from. Popular stuff like “Star Wars” and “Jurassic Park” and “Rocky.” Bunches of different movies. And each one has three rounds where you can score up to 100 points. Each time you pick a movie and play, you earn “popcorn” and can use it to add features to your avatar. You can also play against people. If you decide to download it, let me know and we can play!
This is an app I discovered a few months ago and decided to try out. In fact, a friend and I did a road trip last weekend and I’ll be sharing the details with you soon. It’s so much fun. You can create a trip anywhere and it gives you all kinds of suggestions of different points of interest, restaurants, places to stay, etc. It calculates fuel costs, mileage, everything. And if you are going on a trip with someone (or multiple someones) you can add them and then everyone can make updates/suggestions/etc on where to go and what to do. But yeah, more details to come!
This is one I just learned about a week or two ago from my friends Marly, Stacey, and Stephanie. It’s sort of like a walkie talkie app (like Voxer), except that you send video messages. So you can chat with your friends, but still see their faces. And you can set up group chats. And, sort of like Insta stories or Snapchat, you can change the filters, add text, etc. This is probably my favorite app because I have friends spread all over the place and this way, I can not only talk to them, but see them too. I love it.
