I totally forgot to write a post for January Movies because I’m lame.
But since I’m not even sure if anything new came out last week, it’s probably okay. Yeah? So here’s a peek at the movies coming out the rest of January, as well as a little heads up on the 2016 releases that should now be in theaters near you.
January 13 (TODAY)
Sorry, but this is gonna be a hard pass…
The Bye Bye Man
I heard this horror flick isn’t that terrible, but I’ll probably skip it too. Typically, I’m not a big fan of demonic movies. I really don’t even like the still that popped up on the video…Ugh.
I feel like I’ve seen this movie at least a hundred times. I’m definitely not rushing out to see it in theaters. Maybe Redbox some night. When I’m REALLY bored…
xXx: Return of Xander Cage
If I’m ever kidnapped and tortured to spill all my secrets, all the Bad Guys have to do is threaten to make me watch an endless stream of Vin Diesel movies. I will spill every secret I’ve ever had in my life. Seriously. No, I will not be seeing this.
Trespass Against Us
It’s likely that I’m the only woman in the world who doesn’t love Michael Fassbender. But I still kind of want to see this. It looks intriguing. Plus, I DO love Brendan Gleeson, so there’s that.
Oh my gosh, you guys! I’m SO EXCITED this is finally coming out!! Okay, full disclosure, I’m such a fan of M. Night Shyamalan that I even like his movies that are terrible. But I had the awesome opportunity to be in the very first audience that got to see the finished film back in November and I’ve been DYING for it to come out. Because it’s good, but also because something happens that I just NEED to talk about. But I can’t until people see it. Because spoilers. If you like M. Night’s good movies, plan on seeing this one.
Bald Matthew McConaughey? Sure, why not? I can’t decide if this looks good or terrible, but it might be interesting to check out.
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter
Yeah, right. Is that kind of like Cher’s seventh Farewell Tour?
A Dog’s Purpose
Are you freaking kidding me right now? Watch a dog die a dozen times and pretend it’s all light-hearted and sweet? No, thank you.
Other movies in theaters
Here are a few others that have been out for a little while or that have just gone to wide release:
- Manchester by the Sea
- Hidden Figures
- Patriot’s Day
