Life is hard right now, as I mentioned last week.
I’d love to pour out my soul onto the keyboard and tell you all about the struggles I’m facing right now, but I just can’t. Not yet. Not in this space.
So you’re getting some randomness instead. Just some thoughts and updates and whatnot that are going on with me and around me at the moment.
(This photo doesn’t really have anything to do with my post today. It just really accurately represents how I’m feeling about life right now.)
(Oh, and I took this photo during my trip to England two summers ago.)
(BTW, yes, I’m being completely over-dramatic because things in my life really AREN’T terrible or anything. I’m just feeling some serious blahs with no end in sight.)
♦ My sister, Erin, lives in Boston. She graduated last summer and decided she’s never coming back to California. So she decided to come back to California for Easter and it was so much fun. She brought her boyfriend, whom we all just adore, and had a really fun gathering with the family at my dad’s house the night before Easter.
(And, really, she comes back for Christmas and stuff. She just probably won’t live here ever again. Which makes me sad because when the zombie apocalypse finally happens, how am I going to get to her??)
♦ This past Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead seriously killed me. I’ll avoid spoilers, but I really believe that what happened was exactly what it looked like. Mostly because they can’t get away with faking out the audience like that twice in one season.
♦ I’m starting to really get into Snapchat. I have yet to actually post anything. Or snap anything. Or whatever the kids are calling it. But I enjoy watching them. I need some more to follow, so if you have any favorites, let me know!
♦ I mentioned recently that I’ve gotten really into this podcast called My Favorite Murder. They also have a great Facebook group too. So great, in fact, that I posted a question the other day, asking how to find information on a murder that happened at my elementary school in 1986, and almost instantly, someone found a link to a newspaper article for me. The details of that case have plagued me for YEARS!
♦ The election is making me sad. Really, really sad. Looking at the candidates, this is exactly how I feel at this point:
♦ Baseball season starts on Monday. For the first time in a long time, I don’t have tickets. They are CRAZY expensive and I just can’t justify it. Sad Karen is sad.
So…that’s a bit of what’s happening around these parts. What’s going on in your world?
