It’s been awhile since I’ve participated, but I’m back to it!
(Just like I am with so many other things that have fallen by the wayside lately.)
(Look at me being all productive and stuff! #organized)
So anyways, I have a few favorite posts from this week that I’m excited to share with you. I hope you’ll check them out because they are really, really good.
“Building Your Blog as a Brand“–Lauren from Lot 48 wrote this post, and even though most of what she included wasn’t really new information for me since I’ve been at this longer than some of you have been alive, she presents it in a way that makes a lot of sense and that gave me some great new ideas. I encourage anyone to read it, whether you’ve been blogging for 5 years or 5 minutes.
“Close Your Escape Hatch”–Nicole from A Life Less Bullshit shared some AWESOME thoughts about how we should stop giving ourselves an ‘out’ every time something is hard. When we don’t let ourselves off the hook, we can do just about anything. This was the best post I read this week, and it’s from a blog I didn’t even know existed until three days ago.
“Oil Pulling (Yes You Should!)“–Over at SITS, Claire discussed the benefits of oil pulling. Which is a super fancy term that basically means “wash your mouth out with coconut oil.” Which sounds so much grosser than it really is. I’ve been doing it for about a week and can already see and feel a difference, so I was excited to read this post.
“Say Anything“–Ginger from the style of being wrote one of the best pieces I’ve read regarding the terrible, terrible situation in Paris and the implications of running scared from terrorists. It’s a fantastic post and you should absolutely check it out and share it.
“I need insurance because I wear heels“–Katie at The Style Dunce wrote a really funny post about all the reasons girls might possibly need health insurance. Beyond the obvious like taking care of our overall health. Reasons like getting chemical burns from using Nair. It’s a funny, funny post.
Now go forth and read!
