Oh my gosh. I’m SO glad it’s Monday again and that it’s the week of Christmas and that last week is over because it pretty much sucked. Some of it. Some of it was also awesome. But mostly I’m just glad it’s over.
Anyways, it’s time to look back to the best summer of my entire life…so far.
July came quickly, and with it came a second date with Chris. And then I was getting ready to leave for Europe for two weeks and we decided to be Facebook friends so that he could follow my adventures. I didn’t know it at the time, but he was apparently REALLY bummed about me leaving the country for so long. Meanwhile, I thought he was cute and just hoped he’d still be around when I got back.
It was an amazing trip and I loved nearly every minute. Except when my feet started killing me and it was pouring down rain one day and I was so tired I wanted to cry.
And while I was away, I posted pictures and updates on Facebook and Chris would make the occasional comment on my statuses. And it was kind of cute and I decided that I really REALLY hoped he’d be around when I got home.
And then I got home and went back to work and went out with Chris a couple more times.
And then it was August.
To be honest, August is a blur.
I know I spent as much time with Chris as I possibly could and we were very soon very definitely coupled up. And I was beyond thrilled about that!
I wrote about an email I never sent to a friend who committed suicide.
I wrote one of my very favorite posts when I shared my thoughts on feminism.
The blog celebrated its SEVENTH birthday and I talked about the things I’ve learned in all those years of blogging.
And through all of August, I kept dating Chris. But I was sort of keeping him a secret from all of you.
September rolled around and my roommate Laura and I took a quick trip to Utah.
And then, eventually, I spilled the secret to my ever-present silly grin when I finally made Chris blog-official. There are still no pictures on the blog, but that will probably be changing soon.
So there you have it. The best summer of my life, all spelled out in blog form.
