I know it’s fall and cold and flu season are going to be here any time and I should probably be talking about some of the amazing cold and flu remedies out there, but I am not going to do that today because I have only personally used (and loved) Thieves, and I’ve already written about it.
So instead of telling you all about the virtues of a product I haven’t yet used, I thought I’d tell you about another of my favorites: lemon.
I could tell you all the sciencey stuff about lemon essential oil, but that’s no fun. I’d much rather share a couple of quick uses I’ve found for it:
1. Cleaning. I mixed up a bottle of all-purpose cleanser using water, borax, and some lemon oil. It smells great and makes a perfect cleaner for everyday, around-the-house cleaning.
2. Oily forehead? I wouldn’t have believed this if I hadn’t tried it for myself. I get a ridiculously oily forehead, and I took a drop of lemon oil, rubbed it on my forehead, and within a minute, the oil was gone. And without that terrible dry feeling. Seriously, awesome.
3. Flavor enhancer. Just add a drop or two to a glass of water, mix it up and you have a nice, lemony water. You can also use it to make an entire pitcher of lemonade, but I haven’t tried that yet.
4. Feeling depressed? Add lemon oil to a diffuser, or rub some into your chakras (if you’re into that sort of thing) and get an instant mood booster. Of course, it’s not a treatment for depression and probably won’t help if you’re REALLY bad off. But if you’re feeling a little down, lemon can help you get a lift.
So there you have it. Some of my favorite uses for the lemon essential oil.
And if you sign up and place an order of any size this month, I will send you a bottle of lemon essential oil for free.
