My blog is seven years old. That means 7 years of blogging.
So much life has been documented in the past seven years.
Friendships come and gone. Relationships come and gone. Births and deaths and happy days and sad ones. And really sad ones. And really happy ones.
It’s amazing how much life you can live in seven years.
And I’m so grateful that I made the decision all those years ago to start documenting it.
The blog has gone through a lot of changes. My writing is better. My design is better.
My name has stayed the same. My entire blog life has been lived right here, powered by Blogger.
And it’s been great.
And I will probably be blogging long past the time when the rest of the world has moved on. Even if no one is reading.
Because this little corner of the internet? I do it for me.
Although I’m exceedingly happy when you decide to join in on the fun.
I’ve been thinking about what I wanted to say on this anniversary. And I settled on some lessons and bits of wisdom I’ve learned over the years. Most of these are things you’ve heard before. But that’s okay. This is for me, after all.
1. Live your life.
Whether you are a SAHM that follows her kid around all day, or a doctor that saves lives, or somewhere in between, you have to live. Go out and do the things that make you happy. The things that give you joy. That’s where your best blog posts will come from.
2. Blogging success is 50% hard work and 90% luck.
3. Make new friends.
4. Respond to comments.
5. Don’t be embarrassed by who you were.
6. Only follow the trends that suit you.
7. Be yourself.
And now, it’s time for a super exciting Blogoversary Giveaway! Are you ready? There are three fabulous prizes up for grabs: You could win an Amazon gift card, or 3 months of ad space for your blog, shop, services, etc.
